1. Intellect and worship

Kitab al-Aql wa al-Jahl · Hadith 3

“It is that by which the Most Merciful is worshipped and Paradise is attained.”

Chain as recorded: Ahmad ibn Idris → Muhammad ibn Abd al-Jabbar → an unnamed transmitter (marfuʿ) → Imam Jaʿfar al-Sadiq (a.s.). Thaqalayn notes a mursal grading for this report.

2. Signs of the Creator

Kitab al-Tawhid · Book 3, Chapter 1, Hadith 1 (excerpt)

In a dialogue on the Creator, Imam al-Sadiq points to the ordered cycles of the sun, moon, night and day as signs inviting reflection.

Chain begins: Muhammad ibn Yaqub al-Kulayni → Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim → his father → al-Hasan ibn Ibrahim → Yunus ibn Abd al-Rahman → Ali ibn Mansur, reporting the dialogue of Hisham ibn al-Hakam.

3. The Earth and Divine Authority

Kitab al-Hujjah · Book 4, Chapter 5, Hadith 3

“The earth has never been without a Divine Authority who teaches people what is lawful and unlawful and calls them to the path of Allah.”

Chain: Muhammad ibn Yahya → Ahmad ibn Muhammad → Ali ibn al-Hakam → Rabi ibn Muhammad al-Musalli → Abd Allah ibn Sulayman al-Amiri → Imam Jaʿfar al-Sadiq (a.s.).
