This policy explains what information Imam Mahdi Civilizition collects and how it is used. Last reviewed 21 October 2026.
Current advertising status
Third-party advertising is currently disabled on Imam Mahdi Civilizition. The site does not load Google AdSense, Monetag, HalalSpark, or another advertising-network script, and no advertising cookies are intentionally set by an ad-network integration at this time. If advertising is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and any legally required consent choice will be provided before the integration is activated.
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Essential sign-in and preference storage may be required for core site functions; optional analytics settings, where presented, can be changed through the available site controls.
California privacy choices
If California privacy law applies to you, you may have rights to know/access, correct, or delete personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and to receive equal service for exercising a right. We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on whether personalized advertising is enabled and the law’s definitions, disclosure to ad technology providers may be treated as “sharing.” To submit an opt-out or another privacy request, email imammahdicivilizition@gmail.com with the request type in the subject. You may also enable a Global Privacy Control signal; its legal effect depends on applicable law, and you can contact us to ensure we receive and review your request.
EEA, UK, and other regional rights
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or receive certain personal data, object to processing, and complain to your data-protection authority. Who we are
Imam Mahdi Civilizition is an independent Islamic knowledge platform operated by Syed Ahmad Raza Shamsi from Chunian, Kasur District, Punjab, Pakistan. For any privacy question, write to imammahdicivilizition@gmail.com. This policy was last reviewed in 2026.
Information we collect
Account data: if you create an account we store your email address and any profile details you choose to add (display name, country, short bio, avatar). If you opt into occasional newsletter updates, we store your email address and consent timestamp for that purpose; contact us to unsubscribe or request deletion. Activity data: bookmarks, reading history, Tasbih counts, Khatam progress, daily tasks, quiz and academy progress, all linked to your account. Submitted content: discussion posts, contact messages and volunteer applications you send us. Technical data: our hosting and security layer processes your IP address, browser type and requested pages to serve the site and prevent abuse. You can browse the Quran, Hadith, Duas, articles and tools without an account.
How we use your information
We use your data only to operate the platform: to sign you in, to save your bookmarks and worship progress, to publish content you deliberately submit, to reply to your messages, to keep the service secure, and to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.
Legal basis and retention
We process account and activity data to perform the service you asked for, security data on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site, and optional analytics cookies on the basis of your consent where local law requires it. Third-party advertising is currently disabled; this policy will be updated before any advertising integration is reintroduced. Account data is kept while your account exists and is deleted on request; submitted content stays published until you ask us to remove it.
Location data
Prayer times and the Qibla compass ask your browser for your location. The coordinates are used in your own browser to calculate prayer timings and the direction of the Qibla; they are not sent to or stored on our servers. You may refuse the permission and enter a city manually instead.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your language and dark theme; the site cannot work without them. Analytics cookies, where enabled, help us count page visits in aggregate. No third-party advertising network or advertising-cookie integration is currently enabled on this site. Multilingual Access & Machine Translation
The platform offers access in 100+ languages through dynamic translation engines, such as Google Translate. Your language preference is stored locally on your device through a cookie or localStorage only to provide a seamless browsing experience. During ordinary page viewing, we do not intentionally send sensitive personal data to translation engines; avoid entering private information into translated or third-party content fields.
Advertising
Third-party advertising is currently disabled. The site does not currently load Google AdSense, Monetag, HalalSpark, or another advertising network, and does not intentionally set advertising cookies through an ad-network integration. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any consent choices required by applicable law before enabling advertising. We do not provide advertisers with your account email, bookmarks, or worship-progress records for ad targeting.
AI processing
When you ask the AI assistant a question, the text of your message is sent to our servers and forwarded to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Google) purely to generate the answer. Do not include private, medical, financial or identifying information in your questions. Conversation history is stored in your own browser so you can return to it; if you are signed in, a record may be kept to protect against abuse. AI answers are informational and are not a religious ruling.
Third-party services and data processors
Neon provides our database hosting for account and service data. Our site hosting and content delivery provider, Quran, Hadith, Hijri calendar and prayer-time data APIs, AI providers as described above, and analytics providers may also process information needed to operate the service. No third-party advertising network is currently integrated. Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) is our payment processor and Merchant of Record for paid orders; it handles customer payment information and order processing. These providers process information needed to perform their services, subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
Children
The platform, including the Academy section, is intended for general and family use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental involvement. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Security
Data is stored with row-level access rules so that your records are readable only by you and, where necessary, by the site administrator. No online service can promise perfect security, but we apply current best practice and review access regularly.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your account data, withdraw consent for optional processing where consent is the legal basis, and ask us to remove content you submitted. Email imammahdicivilizition@gmail.com and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled we will update this page and its review date. Where law requires consent for a new purpose, continued browsing alone is not a substitute for that consent.
