Islamic Inheritance Calculator
Select a school, enter the estate after obligations, and record the surviving heirs. This educational preview calculates only defined core cases and flags complex cases rather than inventing shares.
1. Choose jurisprudence
The selected school is shown in the result and export. Ja'fari jurisprudence has a distinct inheritance framework; it must not be treated as a Sunni 'asabah variant.
2. Estate and prior obligations
Enter amounts in one currency. Funeral expenses, enforceable debts and a valid bequest are deducted before calculating heirs. Bequest rules and limits require case-specific review.
PKR 975,000
3. Deceased and direct heirs
4. Other living relatives
Record these relatives accurately. If any are alive, the calculator may require a specialist because priority and exclusion rules differ by school.
Important: educational estimate, not a binding distribution
Islamic inheritance is a high-stakes religious and legal matter. This version is a transparent, limited calculator for selected direct-heir cases. It does not yet implement every rule for Awl, Radd, grandfather with siblings, distant kindred, multiple simultaneous exclusions, bequests, marital property, missing persons, unborn heirs, or all school-specific Ja'fari class rules. Do not distribute an actual estate using this preview alone. Confirm the complete family tree, liabilities and applicable local law with a qualified fara'id scholar and legal professional.
